Toyota Owners Still Having Trouble After Fix By Moody Law | Personal Injury Attorneys on March 04, 2010

Some Toyota owners are still reporting unintended acceleration even after the recall repairs done by Toyota.  These complaints are raising questions as to whether Toyota's recall actually solves the problems.  NHTSA has already linked 52 deaths to unexpected acceleration in Toyotas.  Toyota has responded by claiming that drivers are pressing the wrong pedal and repairing 1 million vehicles.  Toyota has not commented on the new complaints.  The recall repairs include trimming the gas pedal, inserting a piece of metal to reduce friction, and brake override software.  Some Toyota drivers are still claiming to experience delays of several seconds after pressing the brake pedal before any brake action is actually observed.
