Hit and Run Driver Bartow
Hit and run. Deputies are searching for a driver who struck and injured 73 year old Carlos Fernandez in Bartow on Sunday night, Febrauary 21, 2010. Fernandez was in critical condition at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was struck at approximately 8 p.m. going southbound near Old Bartow Eagle Lake Road. Reports indicate that the hit and run vehicle was dark in color and was probably a 1980's or 1990's Oldsmobile. Anyone with information should call the Polk County Sheriff's Department.
